We had a beautiful weekend with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 50's. So we headed downtown to let the toddler run free and soak it up. I completely forgot how fun slides were until I chased Everly down at least seven of them. But growing up I was always a monkey bars and swings kind of girl. Turns out swings aren't exactly Everly's cup of tea. She'll learn soon enough. Either way the fresh air was good for all of us.
Daddy throwing her in the air and upside down was all fun and games until she refused to put her feet down and fell forward on her little head. By Monday she went to school looking like she had been through a war zone with so many bumps and bruises. Nana's marble coffee table gets her every time too. Welcome to toddlerhood I guess. Evidence of a good weekend? There will be many more to come I'm sure.
We followed the park with our usual ice cream run. Something about sunshine, even in 50 degrees, makes Daddy crave sweets every time. Everly still isn't a fan. She was perfectly happy just eating the strawberries off the top.
We were hopeful the warm weather was here to stay. But alas, it is 21 degrees in Kentucky today and will stay that way all week. Typical Kentucky weather. In other news, Everly has now learned to say please "pees" and it is the absolute sweetest thing ever. She officially gets whatever she wants if she follows it with a "pees".
