1) Weather cool enough to enjoy hanging out on the back porch, yet still warm enough for popsicles.
2) Festive bows! Everly is pretty good about keeping a bow on if she's distracted when you first put it on her. She will eventually pull it out. But I can usually get a good hour out of a bow on her. I am dying to get some of these and these! How cute are those??!! And these clips are our favorites! We have several different colors of the Ryan and Wren clips. They are so simple and stylish and Everly hardly ever pulls them out. They have several new fall colors that I need to get my hands on.
3) This raglan tee on Etsy. And they have a matching toddler one too! I might just have to give in to that temptation. Comfy baseball tees are some of my faves. Matching baseball tees with the baby? Even better.
4) Festive garland! I absolutely love decorating for the holidays. And this felt garland and woolie ball garland are on my wish list. They are perfect for decorating your fireplace mantle or a chalkboard in the kitchen. I even have a pinboard in my office I plan on decorating with these.
5) These beautiful signs!! One of these is definitely on my Christmas wish list. (Is it too early to start one of those?) I would take one for every single room in our house. And there is a coupon code for 20% off that expires at the end of the day: AWAKEN20
6) These adorable banners. I have to get one of these for Everly's room. If you follow her on Instagram she announces when she posts festive banners. She had several Halloween ones that were too freakin' cute. They sell out so fast though you practically have to stalk her account.
7) And finally, back porch swingin' with my favorite girl. I run home as fast as I can at the end of the work day to catch as much daylight with her as possible. This weather will be short lived before it drops to the 50's and winter makes its arrival.
Nana has a fountain with rocks that Everly absolutely loves playing in. The rocks are pretty big and make me a little nervous for her to play with. I am just imagining one of the these smashing her toes or being tossed right through a window, or tossed at my head. But no injuries or damages have occurred so far.
I actually bought her a water table for her birthday that came with a couple of boats, a bucket and other water toys in hopes that she would leave the rocks alone. But, it didn't work, as you can see.
And I have to finish with this sweet face. This face, my heart.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Chad is off to Atlanta for the week so I will be single mom-ing it this week. Wish me luck!

A couple of days late recapping. But such is the life of a working mom, right? We had such a fun weekend. Our local orchard hosted a Family Fun Weekend. Reid's Orchard is one of my favorite places to go in the fall. They have a beautiful orchard, pumpkin patch, the cutest store filled with a ton of delicious goodies, and a huge play area for the kids with the neatest activities. They also booked one of my husband's favorite local singers, Andy Brasher. So Chad was excited about that. The weather was perfect. The way Everly was running around nonstop, screaming and laughing was almost like watching a wild animal being released from her cage. I cannot say enough how much this girl loves the outdoors.
Everly loves music as much as she loves being outside. Every time a tune would catch her ear, she would stop in her tracks and sway from side to side with her hand in the air. I posted a video on Instagram (@kristen.hart). She had us all laughing so hard. Her love for life is contagious.
They had a petting zoo with several different animals. Everly thought the animals were hilarious.
It was Logan and Leslie's last weekend in town before Leslie starts P.A. school. So they joined us. Good luck to Aunt Leslie!

We have had some amazing weather the last few days. I'm talking step outside take a deep breath and you're instantly in the best mood kind of weather. We have spent as much time outside as possible soaking up all the vitamin D. Our favorite spot to go to enjoy nice weather is this delicious pizza restaurant downtown called Fetta. It has the neatest patio area with a direct view of the river and fountains along the riverfront. As soon as it was quitting time yesterday we headed straight there.
Look at this hangry little rotten face.
Soon enough though pizza was served and our mood shifted.
Everly loooves bread. She was killing some garlic bread knots, trying so hard to shove the whole thing in her mouth at once.
After pizza we walked down to the riverfront to enjoy the fountains, watch the sunset and burn off some energy. Everly was in the best mood, running around like crazy, talking and waving at everyone. I treasure evenings like this.
My world in one picture. We are blessed more than we deserve.
Hope you all are having a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

I would live in fall fashion year round if we didn't have summer heat for what seems like half the year. My typical style has evolved since having a baby. I lean more towards comfort and convenience now that I'm constantly chasing a toddler. And nothing is more comfortable and cozy than the fashion in the fall. Tunics, skinny jeans, shift dresses and flats pretty much sum up my daily wardrobe. On the weekends though you will only find me in leggings. And since I am terrified of shopping with a one year old, I typically buy everything online. One of my favorite things to do during "me time" is shop online and add my favorite items to the "shopping cart" and close out the Internet window. Anti-climatic, right? But this saves my favorite items for when our budget replenishes, helps me get my shopping fix, and keeps me out of trouble. I buy a couple of items at a time until my shopping cart empties after a couple months. I tend to be drawn to greens for some reason, and neutral colors (grey, black and cream). Below are some of my favorites currently waiting in my shopping carts.
I buy for Everly what I would buy for myself, items I wish were in my size. My mother hates it. She is constantly trying to buy her sweet little outfits that are only appropriate for a baby. But I like to pretend Everly is my mini-me. And I love dressing her similar to myself. Gap and Old Navy are where I get the majority of her clothes. They are constantly running great sales. And the fashion is spot on. Bonus: they usually have some matching Mommy outfits too! These are some items Everly will be living in this fall.
The weather man is calling for some much needed rain this weekend which is also supposed to bring cooler weather. The airshow downtown is happening this weekend. Fingers crossed the rain holds off for that. But we may be able to try out a couple of these outfits if it's cool enough! I hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. We had a busy and hot one. Poor Everly went to bed thirty minutes early last night and had to be drug out of bed this morning. We were all exhausted. Saturday we traveled to Louisville for a family cookout. It was nice to visit with family we don't see often. And Everly loved being around all the kids. She absolutely loves playing with kids older than her.

Sunday we helped my youngest sister move to Knoxville as she starts PA school this week. It's a good 4 hour drive for us so it was a very long day. But Everly was such a good sport. She usually travels really well and is pretty easy going, always rolling with the punches and whatever we have going on for the day. I thank the Lord every night for such an easy going and happy baby.
On Monday it was just us girls since Daddy had to work. So we spent the holiday the best way we knew how, shopping at Target. She's a good shopping partner for about an hour. After that my time is up and it is time. to. go.

Look at that face. I swear this kid makes me laugh all the time. I loved having her to myself for the day. There is something extra special about getting to spend a day with her that I would typically be at work. I always try to make those days fun, and festive now that we are nearing the holiday season. Since it was too hot out we had to spend the afternoon inside. So we put together a little fall inspired treat and sat on the couch watching Sesame Street while we enjoyed it.
We are keeping it displayed on the counter for instant access throughout the day. Here is the original recipe I found. I just gave it a little Halloween twist. We substituted the bunny grahams for pretzel sticks and the M&M's for candy corn and sprinkles. You really could use anything you want and tweek the ingredients for any holiday of the year.
Speaking of snuggling up on the couch, I always love to light a festive smelling candle to help set the mood. Bath and Body Works 3-wick candles are my absolute favorite! They recently released their fall scents and I have to get my hands on a couple. Pumpkin Pecan Waffles and Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow?! They are speaking to me.
When Chad got home Monday evening he hung Everly's new swing for her. After the sun started to set it cooled off enough to spend some time outside. She lo-o-oved her swing. Or maybe she just got a huge kick out of beating up on Daddy. Chad would let her feet hit him while she was swinging and make a dramatic fall backwards like she kicked him. She was cracking up. So was I. My heart melts every time I get to sit and watch those two bond together.
And finally, I am thankful for a short work week. Long weekends are bitter sweet. It makes dropping my baby off at daycare just a little bit harder when it's time to get back to our normal routine. But this week is supposed to bring beautiful weather and I cannot wait. I am planning all sorts of fun. Hope you all have a great week! Sending fall weather wishes your way!
